Our work

Russell and Catherine have supported hundreds of organisations to achieve their energy and carbon goals.

Blenheim Palace & Estate

Heritage, Tourism & Property Development

Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, declared a climate emergency in 2019 and set an ambitious target to become net carbon negative by 2027. With a complex estate spanning buildings, fleet, agriculture and over one million annual visitors, the challenge was to develop a clear, credible understanding of emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3, and to translate this into a practical, deliverable strategy aligned with both heritage operations and long-term environmental goals.

Over a five-year period, Catherine and Russell supported the estate to establish a comprehensive carbon baseline and develop a roadmap to net carbon negative, integrating renewable energy, nature restoration and operational change. This work has enabled Blenheim to take a leadership position in heritage sustainability — combining carbon reduction, biodiversity and visitor engagement into a single, coherent approach, and demonstrating how complex estates can deliver meaningful, measurable climate impact.

LUSH

Retail & Manufacturing – Cosmetics

Lush operates a global portfolio of nearly 1,000 retail stores, manufacturing sites and offices, creating a complex challenge in managing energy, carbon and environmental impact consistently across regions. Alongside compliance with UK ESOS requirements, Lush sought to establish a clear understanding of its full global carbon footprint — including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions — while also exploring the biodiversity impacts of its ingredient sourcing and how these connect to its wider sustainability ambitions.

Catherine and Russell supported Lush in developing a comprehensive, data-led foundation for its sustainability strategy, including global carbon footprinting, energy management systems and an innovative assessment of biodiversity impacts across its supply chain. This work has provided Lush with the insight and tools needed to guide its net zero and nature commitments — enabling a more integrated approach to climate and biodiversity, and strengthening its position as a leader in ethical and sustainable retail.
